Greetings: I'm attempting to get Boinc 7.2.42 to run on an Oracle Linux 6.6 (64) system. As it's designed for Ubuntu, the required packages are a problem for me. The PC is a Dell OptiPlex 780 w/an Intel CORE 2 Duo, 3.0 GHz, CPU and 8GB RAM. It's pretty much stock, no overclocking, etc. So far, I've not been able to get run_manager to execute, so no projects have been added and it's not registered anywhere. When I attempt to execute run_manager, it does this: # ./run_manager ./boincmgr: error while loading shared libraries: libwx_gtk2u_html-2.8.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory # I think all I need is a listing of the packages I need to install for Red Hat/Oracle Linux. Does such a listing exist? Thanks!! Neil |

Use these commands on a terminal window. Probably temp root required. ldd boinc ldd boincmgr (that is el-dee-dee, this command will show the required libraries and what is installed) The package you seem to miss there is wxwidgets 2.8 |
