Hi I've been running SETI@home and ClimatePrediction for several years. I recently bought a new computer and installed BOINC and reconnected to my projects. My CPU-only units run nice and clean (and so much faster!) but the SETI units that are designated for GPU processing won't complete. They can clock hours of processing time but never finish. The Elapsed time goes up and up and then then resets to an hour and change. The Remaining time goes down and then resets as well. At some point - no matter what the Elapsed and Remaining times show - the Progress sticks at 25.217%. CPU : AuthenticAMD AMD A6-6400K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics [Family 21 Model 19 Stepping 1] (2 processors) GPU : AMD AMD Radeon HD 7400/7500/8300/8400 series (Scrapper) (768MB) driver: 1.4.1848 OpenCL: 1.2 Any suggestions ? Thanks !! |

Computing problems are best posted on the forums of the project, as the computing is done with their science applications. If you feel you do still need help through here, then at least post more information. A sticky progress bar can be attributed to a problem with a (new) application. But in any case, it's difficult to diagnose without seeing what the task ended doing, or the BOINC version it happened on. |

Thanks Jord. I'll take my question over to the SETI site. I'll come back if I need to. |
