Hi, I'm running Boinc v7.2.42 on Mac OS X v10.9.4, and I notice that Boinc never suspends even though my "Do work while on battery" checkbox is unchecked. Any suggestions? FWIW, I've upgraded both Boinc and my Mac OS through a variety of earlier iterations, upgrading as it went over the years. |

Open BOINC manager, have a look under the "Activity" menu and make sure you don't have "Run always" selected, that ignores the run restriction preferences and will run on battery. You want "Run based on preferences" as well as "Use GPU based on preferences". My Detailed BOINC Stats ![]() |

Thanks for the reply! I had never checked out the advanced view, didn't assume that a passive-sounding "view" would contain active settings :-). So once I tweaked the Activity settings to all do based on preferences, it seems to work as expected now - thank you! |
