I am looking at my account info on the screen, logged in, all info is correct. However I cannot add new projects or install BOINC on a second pc, I receive the message "User not found or password wrong." It is as if it can't see me, but tells me I am there. Contradicting information.

I created a new account, same thing. What can I do?
My Boinc manager is working on Ubuntu 13.10, but the password / ID problem exists on both an XP system and this one.

What are you trying to add, which project?
On the XP box, did you allow BOINC through the firewall?
Have you checked for CAPS LOCK on/off?
Make sure, triple check, that the information is correct. If need be type your user name and password in Notepad, copy these into the account details and adjust them on the working computer.

I believe I had just misunderstood the procedure for adding a project. It asks if you are a new user... but I failed to see "for this project". Thanks for your time. Problem solved on this end.
