Hello I've got BOINC 7.2.33 installed on fedora 19 x64 and started at boot. I've got a cuda-capable NVIDIA card installed. When I set "use GPU when computer is in use", GPU jobs start and run correctly. However, when I unset this, the GPU jobs will be suspended forever with the message "GPU suspended computer is in use". Even when I leave my computer alone for hours, the GPU jobs will never resume. I've tried to set the idle time option to various values including 0, without any effect. Is it a known bug ? How can I have GPU jobs running when my I leave my computer idled ? I don't want to have GPU jobs running when I'm using my computer, since graphics become very slow. Thanks for your help. |

Please try to update to 7.2.39, which has the Linux idle detection fixed again. Until Linux breaks it again. |

Ageless are you sure the idle detection fix is in 7.2.39? I think it was adopted only in 7.3 branch... (by the way, I tried to build boinc 7.2.39 on Fedora with that patch backported, but it seems it doesn't work either) |

Ooh, you're right. It's only in 7.3 (pre-alpha). Sorry for that. And thanks. :) |

Thanks for you replies. I confirm that idle detection is not fixed in 7.2.39. I'll have to wait for 7.3 to be distributed in fedora. |
