Here is an idea - "BOINCoin" - a cryptocurrency that is rewarded based on credits from the projects you undertake?

This would then create the very first cryptocurrency that is linked to something tangible, ie. the BOINC projects and their stated goals.

If there was a BOINCoin, participants would get more out of it then just trying to make money, they would be assisting the worthwhile BOINC project/s of their choice as well :)
