So basically, All the projects in the above aren't receiving tasks even though I've been signed up on them for a week or so. Any suggestions about what I should do? P.S. I'm new to BOINC so I'm a noob. |

In your BOINC Manager advanced view, if you go to the Projects tab and highlight a project there, a link to its home page will open in the left-hand sidebar. Like this for example: http://escatter11.fullerton.edu/nfs/ On that home page you'll usually see a link to the project's Server status page, like this: http://escatter11.fullerton.edu/nfs/server_status.php As you can see there are lots of available tasks, though some projects spend periods without issuing work. However, the NFS tasks aren't listed by OS se we don't know whether they're for Windows, Linux or Mac or all of these. This is why Rebirther asked for that information. To get to the log file, in BOINC Manager advanced view click on Advanced at the top. In the menu that opens up click on Event log at the bottom. A new window will open showing what's been happening. You can highlight a project and then at the bottom click on the button for Show only this project. That makes it easier to read what the situation is for each project. You should be able to see whether your computer has been requesting work and what reply it received for each project. |

I have a HP Probook 4230s (Which can surprisingly run the Graphics) and I run Windows 7 64 bit. I dont know how much RAM your notebook have but I think for RNAWorld and NFS its not enough. Enigma@home should work. Can you try to get work from Enigma with if you not get any the logfile here? You must also check your preferences in account or in BOINCmanager, run on batteries etc. |

My RAM is 4GB but except for RNAWorld, NFS@Home used to be getting tasks until they stopped. And how do you edit the preferences? |

My RAM is 4GB but except for RNAWorld, NFS@Home used to be getting tasks until they stopped. In BOINCmanager-->Advanced-->Preferences. If you run a firewall and antivirus program, you must exclude both boinc folders from scan and autoprotect too. |
