Hi, this is my first post. Have been running BOINC for a couple of years with no issues. Yesterday, I downloaded and installed the latest driver from NVIDIA for my GeForce GTX 570 board. Right after the install my system began crashing and rebooting every 15 minutes or so. Tried to uninstall the driver but can't go back (the crash also removed my system restore points and my Microsoft upgrade history). Started turning off programs and it turns out the problem is with the BOINC screen saver. Disabled it and the system hasn't crashed since. Here is the error message: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 50 BCP1: FFFFFA82047C53C0 BCP2: 0000000000000000 BCP3: FFFFF800034C1EA5 BCP4: 0000000000000005 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 256_1 The blue screen of death reports it as a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA Not sure what is going on, but since the problem appears to be limited to BOINC, I've had to disable it. Hopefully, someone can point me to a fix, if it is on my end, or else get it resolved, if it is on the other end. Thanks. |
