I've noticed that whenever I change preferences such as the work queue size, even after updating with the project, the change doesn't apply to some of my computers. I have to open BOINC preferences and click "clear" to restore web-based settings.

This happens often...what could be causing BOINC to not update automatically like it should?

You're been into the local preferences, and exited by clicking OK instead of Cancel?

Don't think so. It happens on all my computers...several of whom I rarely access BOINC except to check up on things.
