I've been trying to create 2 run periods - 8:00-18:00 & 21:00-06:00(next day). If I enter the 1st period in every day & the 2nd period in daily overrides, the 1st period will run the 1st day & the 2nd period will run the 1st day. On the second day the computations stop @ 6:00, will not start again @ 8:00 but will start @ 21:00. So, the daily overrides take over & the every day setting is ignored after the 1st day. Don't see anyway to solve this problem. More start/stop points would be extremely helpful. |

8:00-18:00 & 21:00-06:00 Do you use those exact notations? In that case, try to set the first run period to 08:00-18:00 The clock used in BOINC follows the clock set in your OS, and if that clock uses 24 hour notation, it'll need the preceding zero on the 8am notation. |

dlk, It would be fantastic if defining a day of week 'override' as it's called would work as an additive to the general 'every day' values. Many have wanted to be able to define 2 periods for a day, the 21:00 to 06:00 a midnight overlapping trick so to speak, which I know works from own testing to emulate (a) and (c) in this breakup: (a) 00:00 to 06:00 then (b) 08:00 to 18:00 and finally (c) 21:00 to 00:00 Let us know if you got it working, which if I understand it for a calendar day 24 hour period you effectively wanting the sampled as per above, no computing [or networking] from 06:00 to 08:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00 Coelum Non Animum Mutant, Qui Trans Mare Currunt |
