"Version 7.0.29 - 7.0.65 released: 17 April 2013 •Fix: Properly shutdown BOINC Screensaver on certain types on machines. We don't know what the exact trigger was but it seemed to affect .5% of people using the screensaver. (Windows Only)". Just wanted to point out its definitely Not fixed on version 7.0.64, or any B4 that for that matter as long as I can remember I've been having issues with my BOINC SS, continued from my old PC to my new PC. I just did a clean install of 7/64 & my monitor wont sleep at all, the last few months B4 that it would eventually. I enable the default windows SS & NP at all, works perfect. No idea where the call to shutdown comes from? the motherboard I assume? ASUS in both my old & new PC. the rest AMD based. I find it hard to believe that I'm the one having all the ".5%' issues with the BOINC SS LOL!... |

No idea where the call to shutdown comes from? the motherboard I assume? The BIOS or UEFI is where the monitor shutdown call comes from. It does require that you have correct drivers for your monitor installed, ones that Windows can then use to relay the sleep signal to the monitor. Or that you need a BIOS/UEFI update. |
