Good day,
I really want to provide performance from my server but every start of Boinc is stopped.

I tried everything - i686 version, x86_64 version, installed many libraries but still get errors.

[root@ds01 BOINC]# uname -a
Linux ds01.farma.gigaserver.cz 2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Jul 16 23:51:20 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[root@ds01 BOINC]# ldd ./boinccmd
./boinccmd: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.15' not found (required by ./boinccmd)
	linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0x00e14000)
	libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x00c59000)
	libstdc++.so.6 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 (0x0012f000)
	libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x00da4000)
	libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x00a92000)
	libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x0021a000)
	/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x00a39000)

How to fix? Thx.

How to fix? Ask the package maintainers of CentOS (whichever version yours is) to add GLIBC 2.15, or use the BOINC version that they've got available in repositories.

You're not the first person asking here on the forums about CentOS and BOINC, you probably won't be the last. But it's really not something for BOINC to fix, it's for the package maintainers of CentOS to fix.

In the mean time, if you want to see what else others did to fix this, do a forum search (search on CentOS and set Search limits to no limit). Some of the links I and others gave in answers no longer work or hold no workable data.

I have installed GLIBC 2.15 but no effect. And Boinc isn't available from standard repos, then I didn't found some good repos for CentOS :(.

It's very suprise for me, I did install Boinc on many computers with Linux, this is the first big problem.

Last time when I tried install Boinc on CentOS was 1 month ago, after a few problems everything function. Maybe some libs are wrong? Want to remove, then install only required versions of libs but... I have an e-shop on this server. I'm not sure about stability of LAMP server when I remove some C libs... What do you think? My LAMP is very standard Apache/PHP/MySQL.

Why Boinc doesn't have an inherent libs?
Please be tolerant about my english, I'm from Czech Republic and my last study was at highschool.

EPEL? It doesn't have the latest and greatest (6.10.45 at the moment) but at least the one there should work.
