BOINC Manager is always opening on the message tab. Windows 7 stops auto-hiding the taskbar. This never happened before ver. 7.0.64. Windows apparently thinks BOINC has sent a message I need to attend to, but noting comes up on the screen or when I move my mouse over the BOINC icon on the task bar. If I change the tab to be the tasks tab, then close Manager's window, the next time I open it, it's back to showing the message tab window. anybody else seeing this? |

BOINC 7 doesn't have a messages tab. ![]() It has an Event Log window, which is a separate window from the BOINC Manager window. It will happen that when you close BOINC Manager to the system tray, with the Event Log open and in focus, that reopening BOINC Manager will bring the Event Log back to the focus in front of the BOINC Manager window. resizing the Event Log window helps in this. The next BOINC version will have a fix against the Event Log window trying to take the focus. It works in 7.2.11. If this is not something you meant, please be more clear, or add a screen shot of what you see. |

Blush - I meant the Notices tab. When re-opening BOINC Manger from the tray, the window opens on the Notices tab. Choosing another tab prior to reducing the app to the tray again does not fix this. I never had this problem before. |

I never had this problem before. I have seen cases where it does that when it wants to insist you upgrade BOINC. Otherwise usually there is a new notice. But if you change to another tab, minimize and then immediately bring it back, it shouldn't be taking you back to notices. If it is, then you might have a permissions issue and a re-install should clear that up. ![]() |

I did an un-install and a clean installation and that fixed the behavior. This issue is CLOSED. Thanks for the suggestions. |
