I'm going crazy trying to get boinc running on my Raspberry Pi (rip). I've installed the package which includes boinc, boinccmd, and boincmgr. Boinc runs upon boot, but no matter what I try with boinccmd or boincmgr I can't get it to add a project. Every attempt gives me an error -155 (authorization error). It won't let me join an account manager, lookup an account, attach a project, or anything else. WTF? Help. |

BTW, version 7.0.27 (the one available in the apt-get repository). |

Yeah, I had problems too. I just have a client running and was trying to control it from boinccmd. The secret it to cd to the boinc_client working directory before issuing a command So if your boinc_client has its' working directory as /var/lib/boinc, then cd to that and then issue the boinccmd commands. e.g. # cd / # boinccmd --run_benchmarks Operation failed: authentication error # cd /var/lib/boinc # boinccmd --run_benchmarks # I've no idea why, so don't ask |
