I have a Galaxy SIII and I am curious because sometimes the tasks seem to run when the screen goes to sleep and other times it doesn't. Since I am plugged in I don't mind going into developer options and turning on stay awake while charging, but is it necessary? I have 17 credits, and am brand new, but I had these same credits when I went to sleep and left BOINC running while charging and on Wi-Fi, when I look this morning the tasks didn't seem complete and no new credits. I am new to this and given the names, I wouldn't have remembered if they were new tasks or the same ones from last night. In case it is needed for any reason, I am on Wi-Fi at work so I leave the phone charging on my PC and currently in stay awake mode. At home, I will have the phone charging through AC and on Wi-Fi, but I would prefer not to use stay awake because I have a 7 mo old and even though I can flip the phone over, I don't want to chance picking it up and being too bright, even though I leave brightness at the minimal level when a room is pitch black it is pretty bright. Thanks for help and hope this small contribution helps your projects. I need to find out more on what I am actually assisting with, but hopefully IBM isn't secretly taking over the world :) |
