I recently did a clean install of OS Windows 7. I downloaded and installed Boinc 7.0.28(x64). I downloaded some WUs and everything is fine as long as I don't switch identities in Win 7. When I do Boinc will not connect.
This does not happen in version 6.xx.xx which I used previously.
My solution to the problem is to remove the current 7.0.28(x64) and install 6.xx.xx.

However I have a number of work units that have not completed. They are currently suspended.

If I do the reinstall of the earlier Boinc program will I have to start the WUs all over or will the system somehow remember where they were and go from there?

I am not using an Account Manager but would like to when I fix all of this.

This problem has been solved. It involved the rights of Boinc not being assigned to "the local users group". Whatever that is.

I am having trouble compiling boinc_core_release_7_0_25. Platform is x86_64 on Mandriva 2010 although many libs have been updated. Make returns error 1 & 2.
