I downloaded Boinc Mgr. At first it didn't work. Unable to connect to core client. I set the firewall to let it through, uninstalled it then re-installed it giving all users access. It worked! Yeah! Shut the computer down and booted it the next day. Same problem again. Huh? What happened? This is a Win 7 64 bit machine. |

If I sign in as administrator it works. If I sign in as regular user it doesn't access the core client. Why? |

Permissions. When you installed BOINC, did you check "Allow all users on this computer to control BOINC"? ![]() If not, you can either uninstall and reinstall, then in the 3rd screen click Advanced to get to the screen showing above, or you can follow this BOINC FAQ to add your user's name manually to the group of allowed users. |

I have found that if I run the installation program again and click "Repair" it will work for that session. When I reboot it will stop working again. Now whenever I want to run the program I just repair it first. |
