As a long-time version.6 user I thought id give version.7 another try after a clean install of Vista. I also have a new antivirus. Is it normal with version.7 to have approximately 20 Simap work units ‘ready to report’ for days?, 20 Poem ‘uploading’ for days?, 10 Rosetta ‘uploading’ for days?, & another 10 SETI ‘uploading’ for days?. Hitting ‘update’ on each project does nothing?. hitting ‘do network communication’ does nothing?. they all say ‘internet access is ok’. the projects are all up & running on their websites. my only project that seems ok is WCG. Yes I know all about just leaving it alone etc. etc.?. just making sure this is normal with virsion.7 as I also have a new AV. Thank you. |

And what is your network activity set to? Or else, do you have a quota set up? Can you please post the contents of your global_prefs.xml file and if it exists the contents of the global_prefs_override.xml file? These live in your BOINC Data directory, default at C:\Programdata\BOINC\, which is a hidden directory. You can open these files with Notepad. |

Anyone?. on my original ‘Simple Question’?. is it Normal or Not?. I’ve re-installed 7.0.28 with no change. I’ve re-attached all my six projects with no change. I've been in contact with my AV support. After all this?, right now I’ve had one project of the six running all day? & that only seems to me because when I re-attached it downloaded eight WU’s?, everything else is at a standstill either ready to report or uploading?, yay!... I don't know?!, maybe thats the way version 7 does its thing now?!, thats all I asked?. is it normal the way it works now?, or not?. Simple enough you would think?... If not?, is their a FAQ on how to revert back to the last Good version?, 6.12.34... AGAIN... you know?, where all projects ran?, uploaded, & reported on a regular basis?... the update button worked etc. etc.. The Good Old Days... Please & TY. |
