running climateprediction, but it won't get new tasks because it wants "more disk space". According to all the settings (and all the checking on my computer) I can think of, it should have plenty of disk space. It wants around 1900MB and keeps saying it only has around 1600MB available. Can anybody think of what I'm missing here? |

From the CPDN web-preferences. The values to look at are: Disk: use at most X GB Disk: leave free at least Y GB Values smaller than 0.001 are ignored Disk: use at most Z% of total disk space Especially the last one is important as it counts the total disk space that BOINC, and all other programs live on. So this value is not just for BOINC. Meaning that when you have a 1TB drive, you set Z% to 75%, that it can use at maximum 750GB. When you HDD is now half full, BOINC won't ask for further work as 75% of total disk space is 750GB, not 500GB. Mind, it's the total size value of the drive or partition that BOINC lives on. Not the total size you set BOINC to use. And then it's possible that you set different values in the local advanced preferences. These override the web-preferences. |
