Hi,
I cant get boinc 6.12.34 to install on my pc, it's a domain controller but only on my personal test network, installer starts but bombs out when it cant add administrator to the boinc_admins group.

I have added this manually but it still wont continue, can anyone help?

For domain controller you'll be needing 5.10.45. It's these sandbox accounts that the later versions require to have.

Some have hacked 6.2 and later on, but maybe they managed that by basically doing an installer expand and copying the newer versions in. Definitely you'd not like to have the data_dir going into the program files folder. The BOINC Frequently Asked Questions site has an FAQ on how to set that up manually.

P.S. 6.12.34 through 6.12.38 cause issue with WCG [http error 0], but 6.12.33 has proven working on both Windows and Linux.
