I receive several messages daily from my firewall such as "a computer at einstein.phys.uwm.edu has attempted an unsolicited connection to TCP port 3808 on your computer". Can anyone shed light on why and whether this is legitimate? My projects seem to operate fine even though these attempts are intercepted and blocked by my firewall. |

Something that might have to do with traffic quality control finding best routes. WCG does this at least. Rarely hear someone complaining and is addressed in their help pages. Why did my firewall just log an attempt to access my computer right after I visited the World Community Grid website? |

I asked the same question a while ago. I still get "New Not Syn" packets regularly from BOINC related sites that I interact with. |

I still get "New Not Syn" packets regularly from BOINC related sites that I interact with. I find NFS@Home is the worst project for being blocked by my firewall. Al. |
