I need to transfer my BOINC data from a PPC Mac to a new Intel Mac. However, the instructions I've found thus far are incomplete. They simply say to “copy the BOINC data folder to the other drive". However, I cannot do this because the Mac Finder says that I don't have the required access privileges (even after typing in my administrative password). Therefore, exactly how do I transfer my BOINC data so that I don’t lose 3+ years of processing credits? If I’ve somehow missed these instructions, please forgive the duplication. Thanks. |

All the information on credits and such is stored in databases at the projects. You can completely lose your hard drive or have your Mac burn down in a house fire and not lose your credits. Your Mac can go missing in the Bermuda triangle, once you attach your new Mac to all the projects you were busy with on the old one, you'll get your credits back. |

...once you attach your new Mac to all the projects you were busy with on the old one, you'll get your credits back. Provided you attach to your existing account, and don't create a new one. Make sure you use exactly the same email address as you used last time when you attach. |

Thank you! All of my BOINC projects, with credits, are running again. |
