Is there any recourse, other than detaching from a project, when the administrators rarely or never answer questions at the project's Q&A or message board? This seems to be an on-going problem with uFluids@home. There are multiple message threads and Q&A threads, some lasting as long as 4 1/2 years, where users ask questions, over and over, and never receive any answer.

No, other than detaching and possibly warning others about the non-responsiveness of the project admins, there is not much you can do. Some projects have an email address through which one can reach admin, but even that's not always useful or working.
