I am interested in the possibility of augmenting my crunching with a laptop, so low voltage, but not slow, quad or hyper-threaded quad.

I have a desktop with an I7-920 and it flies in Win7 64bit. But it is 45nm, it's definitely not low voltage, and that is all I see available.

Does anyone have any experience with a low voltage reasonably quick quad or hyper-threaded quad.
