Sorry if this has already been mentioned in earlier posts but I want to suggest a feature in the BOINC-client. My pc crunches 24/7 and during daytime i have no problems with that. Most apps I run work decent. During evening/night I often watch some videos and yeah the cuda-tasks do interfere with the playback. So I was wondering if it is possible to create an option in the BOINC-client to postpone the cuda-tasks for a while without having to resort to putting all cuda-tasks on hold since this also effects the query for new (non-cuda) tasks. And while the cuda-tasks are on hold the system could start with a non-cuda-task I guess... |

Isn't there a "Pause GPU tasks" if you right click the system-tray icon of BOINC manager (windows)? Or perhaps in the Activity menu? I can't tell for sure, since I don't run BOINC version 6. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) ![]() |

Isn't there a "Pause GPU tasks" if you right click the system-tray icon of BOINC manager (windows)? Or perhaps in the Activity menu? 6.10.36 has a 'Snooze GPU' option in the System tray icon (snoozes for an hour), and 'use GPU: never' option in the Activity menu, you're just got to remember to set this one back to 'use GPU: based on preferences' afterwards.
