I frequently will get a pop-up from BOINC over my systray. It will say that BOINC cannot connect to the internet and make some sort of request that I take some action.

I check my messages and I find that some specific project - usually SETI - cannot connect.

So,in actual fact, it is not that BOINC cannot connect.

I think we need better more accurate messaaging.

Or turn that off. BOINC Manager->Advanced->Options->Network reminder slider set to zero.
