I recently downloaded the newest BOINC client: 6.10.18. Now, when BOINC begins computing, it won't suspend the computation when the computer is in use, even though the global preferences are set not to do work while the computer is in use. I've even set every one of my projects' preferences to this as well, and it still runs while the computer is in use. I never used to have this problem before. |

Is BOINC still set to: "Run based on preferences"? |

What about local preferences? Is boinctray.exe running? (assuming windows) Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) ![]() |

The Manager is set to "Run based on preferences", but boinctray.exe was not running. I started boinctray.exe from the BOINC folder, and now it's working properly. Thanks! |

(assuming windows) Don't assume too much. It depends on which Windows is running for idle detection to work. Windows 2000/XP |
