"Secure Windows Desktop detected..." That's all I'm getting in my screensaver. The password checkbox has been explicity unchecked.

(I have an ATI Rage card and am running Win2K.)

How do I fix this? Jeez! All I want to do is run SETI@home like I used to!

What version of the software are you running?

It sounds like 4.19 or older. You should try 4.45 or newer.

Hmmmmmmmm...

Did you ever install a previous version of BOINC?

Could you lookup the version of boinc.scr in c:\\windows?

This really sounds like a case of an older screensaver.

Sonuvagun, it's 4.19.

OK, this probably happened when I installed one of the versions (there's like, server and standalone or something?), and it didn't do anything, so I installed the other.

So then, what WAS I supposed to do?

(I would think these guys'd be getting this question so much, they'd put up a set of simplified instructions and direct everyone there in self-defense.)
