I'm working on setting up a boinc project, and everything is working well, except there's just one small insignificant detail that's confusing me.

From my config file:

<cgi_url>
      http://boinc.picevolvr.com/picevolvr_cgi/
    </cgi_url>

however the clients actually try and hit http://brilloserv.cullen-online.com/picevolvr_cgi/cgi for the scheduler (which is the hostname of the machine). For uploads they follow the upload url

<upload_url>
      http://boinc.picevolvr.com/picevolvr_cgi/file_upload_handler
    </upload_url>

just fine.

This isn't a huge problem, I'm just confused as to why this is the case. As you might expect, it's on the server_stable branch.

Scheduler's are specified in the schedulers.txt file in the project's html/user/ dir. Check that first.

Also check the <master_url> setting in config.xml

Thanks. I thought it would be in the config file like all the other URLs. it was in schedulers.txt like you said.
