Greetings all - and Good Morning!! I get a message that says "error" (that's all) when running benchmarks. I have three boxes on the same account. The box with the error is an *old* Gateway with only 256 meg of memory (its max). I'm running Debian Linux with their integrated version of the boinc manager - version 6.2.14 (The other, newer boxes have 2 ghz clocks - and one is a dual processor.) Here is a clip from the debug/messages: 1-Jun-2009 09:56:45 [---] [error] 03-Jun-2009 09:56:45 [---] [benchmark_debug] 1 out of 1 CPUs done 03-Jun-2009 09:56:45 [---] [error] CPU benchmarks error 03-Jun-2009 09:56:47 [---] Resuming computation9:56:14 [---] Suspending computation - running CPU benchmarks 03-Jun-2009 09:56:16 [---] [benchmark_debug] Starting floating-point benchmark 03-Jun-2009 09:56:13 [---] Running CPU benchmarks 03-Jun-2009 09:56:28 [---] [benchmark_debug] Ended floating-point benchmark 03-Jun-2009 09:56:31 [---] [benchmark_debug] Starting integer benchmark 03-Jun-2009 09:56:41 [---] [benchmark_debug] Ended integer benchmark 03-Jun-2009 09:56:44 [---] [benchmark_debug] Ended benchmark 03-Jun-2009 09:56:45 [---] [benchmark_debug] CPU 0 has finished 03-Jun-2009 09:56:45 [---] [error] 03-Jun-2009 09:56:45 [---] [benchmark_debug] 1 out of 1 CPUs done 03-Jun-2009 09:56:45 [---] [error] CPU benchmarks error 03-Jun-2009 09:56:47 [---] Resuming computation About the CPU -- Here is a clip from messages during startup: 03-Jun-2009 09:28:17 [---] Starting BOINC client version 6.2.14 for i686-pc-linux-gnu 03-Jun-2009 09:28:17 [---] log flags: task, file_xfer, sched_ops, benchmark_debug, checkpoint_debug 03-Jun-2009 09:28:17 [---] Libraries: libcurl/7.18.2 OpenSSL/0.9.8g zlib/1.2.3.3 libidn/1.8 libssh2/0.18 03-Jun-2009 09:28:17 [---] Data directory: /var/lib/boinc-client 03-Jun-2009 09:28:17 [---] Processor: 1 GenuineIntel Pentium II (Deschutes) [Family 6 Model 5 Stepping 1] 03-Jun-2009 09:28:17 [---] Processor features: fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 mmx fxsr up 03-Jun-2009 09:28:17 [---] OS: Linux: 2.6.26-2-686 03-Jun-2009 09:28:17 [---] Memory: 250.39 MB physical, 735.99 MB virtual 03-Jun-2009 09:28:17 [---] Disk: 72.42 GB total, 60.59 GB free 03-Jun-2009 09:28:17 [---] Local time is UTC -4 hours 03-Jun-2009 09:28:17 [---] No coprocessors Should I just ignore this? This usually happens when something else is intensively using the CPU while you or BOINC runs the benchmarks. So make sure that there's nothing else using the CPU. |
