I've been using boinc for some months now. I have a dual core cpu with cuda enabled gpu (nvidia 9800gtx). The last days I notice that both cores process tasks for a single project. e.g. both cores process Miklyway@home tasks, and no cuda tasks run. I'd like to have both cores process tasks for different processes. And I would like to have always one cuda task running also. This cuda task should be scheduled on a core together with another task, since it takes only 0.07CPU it says. I know that I can run cuda simultaneously with 2 other tasks if I set the ncpu option = 3. But the last days, this only results in 3 tasks for a same project running on both cores simultaneoiusly. Any help is welcome. |

The 6.6.x version should do a better job of scheduling the GPU. However there will still be the possibility of both CPUs running the same project. BOINC WIKI ![]() ![]() BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |
