When i reinstalled boinc after upgrading to 64 bit vista and latest nvidia drivers my 8800 gtx was recognized and when i joined up to seti, LHC, Einstien, SHA-1 and rosetta jobs started to run. I have an intel quad core 6600 and the cuda enabled graphics card, a bfg 8800 gtx. Ok now the problem is that boinc was running 5 tasks on that first day, 4 cpu jobs and 1 CUDA. When i hovered over the tray icon it said 5 tasks running. Now for the last few days if i have a cuda task running boinc only uses 3 of the cpu cores and not 4 like before. Any idea i'd be gratefull |

Any idea i'd be gratefull That's how it is designed to work (at least with the current version). One core is needed to feed the GPU data. It is rumored that in future versions (currently in alpha state) that will be rectified. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) ![]() |

Thats what i was thinking as the cuda task also says 0.13 of cpu as well. The only thing is when i first installed it it was definately running 5 tasks at once 4 cpu 1 cuda thats what was in sys tray and on the tasks tab. |
