My Dell (No CUDA) Optiplex 745 has a problem that has recently popped up. Boinc 6.4.5 will not restart after I reboot my system. I have to run the BOINC installer, and select "repair" in order to see the client. I had originally set it up as a service, then changed it a month ago to "Anyone can manage..." The only abnormal thing I see now is that BOINC isn't listed anywhere on the start menu list of "All Programs". Any suggestions are appreciated! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling BOINC until my fingers hurt, but nothing seems to help. |

6.4.5 has features which were/are intended for use by CUDA users, and has "a few little problems". It will soon be replaced by a 6.6.* version. If you don't have CUDA, then you don't need 6.4.5, or it's problems. Stick with 6.2.19 for now. |

Thanks! Exactly the answer I was looking for. I'll wait for the next release, and then crunch on! |
