So I'm new to some of this, but I've already done a lot of FAQ/help searches and am still stuck:

I have 2 different projects that I've joined, but only one of them will seem to run at any one time. Is this normal, or is there something I need to do to work on multiple projects at once?

(I used to just run SETI, then I just joined the World Community Grid WCG. Only SETI would run, WCG just said 'ready to start'. So I detached from SETI, and WCG started working. I then logged in to SETI again, but now only WCG is running and SETI doesn't do anything and status is 'ready to start'.

any help is greatly appreciated! thanks :)

How many CPUs/cores do you have? You can only run one task per CPU/core.

So if you only have one CPU, you run one task at a time. At the switch time, the other project will kick in using the CPU.

If you have two CPUs/cores, you run two tasks at the same time. etc.
