Can you add a feature to the windows client that would make it pause when certain processes are running? For example, I play world of warcraft. The process is called "wow.exe". It would be nice if i could specify that while there is a "wow.exe" process, all computational tasks would pause, then resume when the process exits. Maybe another entry in the xml file? It seems like it wouldn't be too much work to have a timer that checks the process list every 30 secs. Would it? I think this would help get more gamers to install it on their machines too. |

Not a bad request, I like it even. ;-) But you do know that the applications running under BOINC use the lowest possible priority, so they should give way to all other programs running at a higher priority? |

Not a bad request, I like it even. ;-) I think this is something that should be implemented into the GPU version of Boinc... MAIN PC: Q6600 @ 2.40GHz - Windows 7-64Bit 4GB RAM - BOINC 6.6.38 Win64 - 9800GX2 190.38 NETBOOK: N280 @ 1.66GHz - Windows 7-32Bit 1GB RAM - BOINC 6.6.38 Win32 ![]() |

I implemented this feature; it will appear in the next release (6.3.13). To use it: include in the "config" section of cc_config.xml (you can include more than one of these, if you want). -- David |
