I have a Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz and also Nvidia 8800GT. I have just installed Boinc client 6.3.10 which has detected a CUDA device. So now I have a Coprocessor: Device Emulation (CPU) (1), which seems to to have slightly increased my processing time. Someone tell me that I am right about this? That my GPU is being used as a Coprocessor? YES, NO, or other? Yes, but only if it's an nVidia card. ATI isn't supported. See GPUGrid for more info on testing this version of BOINC. No other projects use the GPU yet, none that I know of have a working application at least. |
