Can someone help me? Maybe it's been posted before but i can't find it. I have a quad be only 2 wu's prosess at the same time no mater the projects i do. Is there a way to inable the 4 prosessors at the same time in B O I N C version 5.10.8? Thanks for the help?. |

Go to a project website, your account, general preferences, and there should be a setting to change the number of processors to use. Save the changes, then click 'update' on the Boinc manager against that project. |

The OS detect the 4 prossesors but only use 2. :( I'm loosing lots of prossessing power, |

Check that none of the venue specific preferences on the project websites have the number of CPUs set to 2. The other thing which caught my eye was the available memory. 1GB on a quad system is quite small - could workunits be in 'waiting for memory' mode? How much memory do these four projects each need these days? |
