I have a new HP server running this "OpenServer" garbage, it's a multi-xeon-processor box with a boat load of spare CPU cycles. I'm familiar with Linux, and AIX, and since this SCO OpenServer is supposed to be Unix, is there a particular version of the core client that can be ran in command line mode only? Thanks for any info. |

All versions of BOINC can be run in command line mode only. Just start boinc.exe (Windows) or boinc (Unix/Linux/Mac) only. You can then use boinccmd (boinc command) to control it. See http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/BoincCmd and http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/UnixClient. |

It is posible to use the offical Linux BOINC client and science application running at SCO UnixWare and OpenServer with LKP (Linux Kernel Compability System) : http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=35426 |
