Hi folks,

Please, how do configure Boinc to download more tasks? I`ll be without Internet connection for a while and I would like to get as many tasks as possible in advance. Is it possible?

Best help can be obtained if providing just very minimal information. What BOINC version and OS are you running?

BOINC 5.10.x has a 'local pref' to set additional buffer days. With 5.8 and before the only way to do it is by increasing the 'connect every ... days' option on the device profile @ a project website your client is attached to.


I`m using on Windows XP, Boinc 5.10.20. And I cound'nt find where to set the ädditional buffer days"... :(

BOINC Manager, Advanced view, menubar at the top, Advanced, Preferences, Network Usage. Fill in the numbers and press OK.

"Additional buffer days" is the wrong setting for this case. If you will be offline for X days, set "connect every X days" to that number or higher.
