I am running windows vista premium with Norton Internet Security 2006

i have tried running every project, however each time the Boinc manager says "no work available to process",

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated

Make sure that you did NOT install BOINC to the default directory at c:\program files\boinc
Windows Vista does not like programs that regularly write to disk to be in the \program files\ directory, so our general advice is to install Boinc elsewhere, like c:\Boinc
(This until BOINC 6 comes along, which allows for the data directory and files that are written to on a regular basis to be installed in the so-called data directory elsewhere.)

Also make sure Boinc is allowed though any firewall that you have.
For external communications (to any project) TCP ports 80 and 443 need to be available.

If that doesn't help in the first place, please post part of the messages log so we can look at that.
