I upgraded to the new boinc_5.10.21_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu.sh (copying the files over my existing BOINC directory as everytime when I upgrade). But when I start run_manager, nothing visibly changed and Help > About BOINC Manager still shows 5.10.8. I double checked the files boinc, boinc_cmd and boincmgr and all are the new files from boinc_5.10.21_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu.sh.
BOINC 7.2.42 (x86_64) on Linux Ubuntu 16.04 (64 Bit), AMD APU 7850K 3.7 GHz, 32 GB RAM.

The link may be pointing to the wrong file. The OS may be waiting for the files to not be in use before finishing the update.
