Hello, I'm trying to deploy the core client on some machines I only have SSH access to. Then, though I do have admin rights on the machines, I do not want to do anything with admin rights on it, not even chown/chgrp'ing with the (In)Secure shell scripts. I just want it to run inside a screen session as the non-admin user who does SSH into that machine.

So, I'd be fine to just use the "-insecure" option. But the BOINC client, 5.8.17 freshly downloaded, doesn't understand that:
$ ./boinc
File ownership or permissions are set in a way that
does not allow sandboxed execution of BOINC applications.
To use BOINC anyway, use the -insecure command line option.
To change ownership/permission, reinstall BOINC or run
 the shell script Mac_SA_Secure.sh. (Error code -1005)

$ ./boinc --insecure
File ownership or permissions are set in a way that
does not allow sandboxed execution of BOINC applications.
To use BOINC anyway, use the -insecure command line option.
To change ownership/permission, reinstall BOINC or run
 the shell script Mac_SA_Secure.sh. (Error code -1009)

By the way, the Mac_SA_Insecure.sh script talks about "--insecure", not "-insecure". Which, of course, doesn't help either.
