Hi,

I´m running BOINC 5.8.16 connected to BOINCstats BAM with the four projects:

  • SIMAP
  • Rectilinear Crossing Numbers
  • Einstein@Home
  • LHC@Home

Some time ago I changed the ressource share of all projects via the account manager:

  • SIMAP from 60 to 45
  • Rectilinear Crossing Numbers from 20 to 5
  • Einstein@Home from 60 to 5
  • LHC@Home from 60 to 45

Now after the each startup of BOINC the shares are

  • SIMAP 60
  • Rectilinear Crossing Numbers 5
  • Einstein@Home 5
  • LHC@Home from 60

After some time the share of RCN changes to 20. Is there a reason for this behavior or did I something wrong?

You're best off posting this in the BoincStats forums and getting an answer from Willy.

I haven't played much with BAM!

Hi,

I found out something more and I now belive it is a BOINC client problem.
I looked at the client_state.xml and I found for every project the properties:

  • resource_share and
  • ams_resource_share

The values of ams_resource_share agree for all projects with those of BOINCstats BAM. The values of resource_share are obviously the values the client uses. So the question is: Why does the client use the "normal" resource share values instead of the AMS values although the client is connected to an AMS?
