Apparently GPUGrid is out of server space. Finished tasks are not uploading. I'm not sure if any new tasks are being sent by the server, or they are being blocked due to maxing out the number of assigned tasks per pc/gpu due to the tasks stuck uploading. As I look at the GPUGrid project page and their list of staff I notice they no longer list a IT person dedicated to running their computers. There used to be someone minding the store, only scientists now.

As I scroll through this board of project issues it sure does seem that BOINC is not a particularly robust application. Or is the problem that it needs constant care and feeding by humans?
WGC - countless issues since their move in the fall of last year
Ithena - ghosted for at least a week (or three)?
Asteroids has a bazillian tasks to send but then routinley sputters and stops sending for a while
...and more out of commission.

Of the projects I usually run Einstein seems to be the most consistently up and running.

My opinion:

WGC: The group that's handling it now isn't the group that originally set it up, and seem to be trying to learn the system as they go (admittedly, the original group had some rough patches too)

Asteroids: There might be a configuration 'issue' (maybe the transitioner?) from having a bunch of tasks, but not properly handling how to hand them out; and historically had issues from the database getting "too full"

Rosetta: Has tasks, but communication from the project admins is rare.

CPDN: Has the occasional problem, but does have communication about it

My personal summary: BOINC is designed to run in a particular way, but any particular group of admins might their own mindset of how they want to run things, which doesn't exactly map to how BOINC does it.

Some, and occasionally.

but communication from the project admins is rare.
As in none for over a year, and then one or two posts, and nothing for 6-12 months before that.
So, really, none.
