Lets say I have a machine attached to 4 projects (A, B, C, and D), each with a Resource Share of 100. They were all attached 30 days ago at the same time. Additionally, A has had no work during that time, so it's been building up LTD, thinking it should have been getting 25% of the crunching allocation during that time. Now I decide to change the allocation for B from 100 to 700 (meaning that A should be getting 10% of the crunching time).

What does that do to the LDT for A? Does it just start adding 10% on top of what has already been accumulated? Or does it somehow reset the LTD to be as if it was 10% from day 1? Or does it reset the LDT counter to 0, and start calculating the LDT from the change date? Or...?

The LTD does not change when you change resource shares. From that point on it accures/decays at a rate reflecting the new share.

Is that correct? I thought if there was no work available LTD didn't build up (or is that when you have the 'no more work' toggle set?).

Yes and no. The LTD does not build at the normal rate, however it does "drift" in certain situations. Most notably the LTD will change if the client is not wanting work from a given project. For example if another project is having deadline problems and preventing work fetch from any project it's LTD will drop and the other projects will rise when it is rebalanced.
