SiDock@home and RakeSearch experience technical problems, and the works can take several days more.

Its has a really bitter taste, that this happend while WCG is not working. Medical backupprojects are rare..and the ones who are online have understandible heavy workshortages for all of us hungry crunchers.

I wish there would be any info. if the server is now fully down, or database damaged and no backup...or backup yes but need a restore, if they are waiting for the harddrive back in Raid but it fully died on restore, if they having problems with power while war is critical now, getting no spare parts or whatever.

Bought a new dedicated 16core medical CPU cruncher some weeks ago and now its just doing astro stuff ^^

Yeah just venting...we will all see..

It is the ARP tasks from WCG I am missing, and I expect, will still be missing when the current climate work from CPDN my main project is over.

For me Einstein has been up and down for days now and I can never get a full charge of work.
Wuprop shows 6 active apps in the last 24 hours. Maybe that's just an average or is it just affecting Linux and Firefox?

I have set the VM in question to no new work and hope with a day and a half to go, things can be sorted before the host finishes its task.

Project developer has reported that it's working now - servers needed a reboot to re-establish full communication.

Perhaps over the top but less than three quarters of an hour to do a fresh install of Linux Mint on the VM then build BOINC from source and the new installation of BOINC gets round the machine having reached its limit of one task per day.

RakeSearch and SiDock shares the same server. SiDock has been bouncing off and on all day too. Right now it is unreachable. At least it is trying.

Going by a message on CPDN fora, the servers need another application of a size 10. With luck this can happen before my task finishes in about 9 hours so I can get another.

And fixed again. Later today there will be a short outage while Glenn changes some server details. Also tasks now allowed 8 tries rather than 5 to reduce hard fails, though any that do hard fail due purely to failed downloads will be returned to the queue.
