Hello, I am running on BOINC 8.0.2 on a Apple Silicon Mac version 14.6.1 (23G93) with a M1 Max Chip. The "Remaining (estimated)" column on the Tasks section reports a number much higher than what it actually takes to finish the task. For example, my tasks from Einstein@Home show 47 mins in that column but finish in 4.5 mins. Is there something wrong with my system, or is this expected? Thanks. |

Thanks.Certainly not unusual with a newly connected machine. If before downloading any tasks you click on tools>run cpu benchmarks it tends to be much closer. In the absence of running the benchmarks, each time new tasks are downloaded the estimate should get closer. (I usually forget to do that and inevitably when I do CPDN tasks take several times as long to finish as predicted.) |

Thanks for replying! If you're wondering it did go down (it now says 7.5 mins). |
