Hello! I have changed Boinc from the Flatpak (was uninstalled) to a normal installation and am now wondering why so few points are displayed under "Statistics". I assumed that the previously earned points would also be displayed in the new installation - unfortunately this was a fallacy. I am starting from scratch again, although they are displayed under “Projects => Work done”. How can I ensure that these items are also displayed and not just the new ones, but the total number? Many thanks in advance. Yours sincerely, R.Lehmeier |

Did you use a DIFFERENT USERNAME& email address when you reattached to ALL THE SAME projects or did you use the same USERNAME? You should be using the SAME USERNAME, email address & password when you reattach / rejoin the projects. |

That's what I did. It's the same name and the same e-mail address. |

I have changed Boinc from the Flatpak (was uninstalled) to a normal installation and am now wondering why so few points are displayed under "Statistics".If the new installation was in a different directory to the previous installation, then the previous locally stored Statistics files won't be in the new installation, so no previous Stats in the BOINC Manager Statistics tab. In reply to Lehmeier's message of 7 Apr 2025: That's what I did. It's the same name and the same e-mail address. If you look at user totals as opposed to host totals in BOINC you should see the full amount. Your flatpack installation is seen as a separate host. You should be able to go to the project websites and from your account pages, list your computers and then click on "merge hosts by name" Once all projects have been updated on BOINC things should then return to normal. |

In reply to Dave's message of 7 Apr 2025: ... The merging was the right tip. It didn't work for everyone, but where it was possible I did it. A big thank you for this tip. |
