boinc 8.0.2 x64
windows 11 pro

Benchmarking starts every time a wu finishes and uploads.

WCG, asteriods@home so far.

Never had this problem before, started recently. I removed and re-installed boinc still have problem.

Same computer used for many years. Never had this problem

Have you recently made any changes to any configuration files? Or to the BOINC startup entry in Windows Startup section or BOINC manger's Event Viewer logging settings?

I switched from web to local preferences and it seems to have solved the issue.

Try switching back just to see what happens then.
I can't think of anything web based that would result in the Manager benchmarking.
