when I try to attache a project i get a message saying that i'm no currently connected to a BOINC client, and to go to "advanced/select computer" to connect to a BOINC client. When I do this I used "localhost" but I get another message that the password is incorrect. How can I fix this?

Exit BOINC completely, restart it. That's the quickest way to fix this.

Which BOINC version are you using?
